And why a new GP surgery is not currently being provided within the Arborfield Green development.

I'll continue to press for a solution that ensures residents in Arborfield can access a GP.

I aim to limit most of my birding to my home parish of Stratfield Mortimer, and then sites in Berkshire within a ten mile radius of home - with a few trips out to further-flung parts of the County/Country.

On a seven mile hike round Arborfield yesterday I was pleased to find a winter flock of about 200 Chaffinches feeding in a stubble field, a pair of Mandarin in ancient woodland, a couple of Common Gulls and lots of birdsong.
The ground flora is awakening too.

The Royal Berkshire and Frimley Park hospitals are crumbling around staff and the patients. And we are still having to fight hard for new GP surgeries we need to cover new housing, such as at Arborfield. Today I demanded meaningful investment to deliver change for our local healthcare facilities.

I called on Ministers to make an early decision on the MoD's intentions, to stop the neglect and return much-needed, affordable housing to the market.

We're safely in Saskatoon after a lovely visit in Arborfield, including service this morning at Church of the Ascension. Many thanks to Ken and Betty Edwards for their hospitality, and to all our old friends who visited us and fed us and gave us coffee and all. Heading home to Edmonton tomorrow.

I had the pleasure of opening many brilliant businesses and facilities in our community this week, including the new Ranga Lounge restaurant and the refurbished Arborfield Village Hall.

I also completed the Wokingham Lions' Autumn Walk for charity. Here’s what else I’ve done this week:
