"Frodo, the Argonath! Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old."

All shot practically using real smoke, lighting, a couple of book ends, foil for water, some miniature boats, and a couple of logs for the mountains.

One year ago today I posted this miniature, practically shot Lord of the Rings, Gates of Argonath photo I created using foil for water, tree bark for mountains, two Argonath bookends and some tiny model boats and people.

On 25 February, T.A. 3019 in Middle-earth: the Fellowship pass the Argonath, and then camp on the Parth Galen on the shores of Nen Hithoel.

The Argonath were erected around 1,800 years earlier and show Isildur and Anárion.

The Argonath statues depict Isildur and Anárion, the sons of Elendil who founded Gondor. In Tolkien’s lore, they were built to mark Gondor’s northern border on the River Anduin. ✋
