A photo of my painting of a stylised, quirky, whimsical Barn owl. The owl has a small pair of antlers. On her chest is a Celtic Labyrinth design. The colour palette is shades of blue grey, with patches of salmon pink. I tried to keep the colour of the owl similar to the real owl in soft grey and many yellow. Abstract mark making suggesting the pattern on the wings. Leafy doodles extend out from the sides of the owl. More abstract mark making around the edges of the paper. A few patches of gold leaf dotted around.
