Pulled out my laptop and drawing tablet to work on this a bit more. Basically played around with line weight all afternoon, and my brain is happy we discovered/learned something new 😁

(I use Krita on my laptop)

Pic of my XP-Pen drawing tablet with Krita open. There is some detail visible of a WIP drawing in greyscale - it's Shiro from VLD with a content expression.

Started this little project late last year (but another project turned out to be more important), so this is the first official creative project I'm working on at the atelier.

A small Roman-era inspired figurine made from soapstone (and yes, it is what you think it is 😎)

#ArtOfNaarna
My left hand holding an unfinished soapstone work piece. It has the rough shape of a phallus (penis) standing on squashed nuts. The stone has a slight reddish-brown coloring with darker inclusions. In the background, a blurred shelf is visible. Same hand holding the same phallus-shaped soapstone piece, showing it from a different angle.

Still a newbie artist, but mine is Hands. 😁

(I'm still figuring out faces)

#ArtOfNaarna
Drawing of two hands in color pencil style on a watercolor background. The hands are open and point upwards with one of them about to gently grab the other one. The watercolor background emulates cherry trees. The whole work has a soft golden shimmer to it, as if the evening sun lightens it all up. Acryl painting on a rectangular canvas i mostly greenish-blue tones. On it, you can see three pairs of hands from top to bottom, progressing from a shy gentle touch of fingers in light colors to a more direct touch in darker tones to finally a firm holding of each other's hand in dark green tones. (I sold this one!) Acrylic painting on wood, in purplish-red shades. A hand is seen reach up, illuminated from behind. The background shifts from a dark purple to a warmer dark yellow. I titled it "Enlightenment". Acrylic painting on paper. Two hands are seen in a pose that was inspired by Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam", reaching for each other but not yet touching. The hand on the left is dark-skinned and on white background, while the hand on the right is white-skinned and on black background. The whole composition makes it look like the yin and yang symbol.

Today's achievement - this face. 🙌

(Faces are still my kryptonite, so I'm very proud of this one!)

Detail of an unfinished pencil sketch drawing showing the face of the female character drawn. She has a sassy, slightly judging gaze as she looks to the side, witha smirk curling her lips. On the right to the face is a rough sketching of a hand that still needs to be worked on.

Might finish the second hand later and some more details... Need some dinner now or I'll start screaming at the paper in frustration. 😅

(Freehand sketch based on a reference)
