1/ As someone who took a Geology course in college called Water & Society who also despises all uses of AI that aren’t for the health benefits of all (for say data mining towards discovering new medical treatments), this post/image is like fingernails on chalkboard for me…

The CEO and Board of Directors salaries will be increased proportionally. This is not a company cost saving measure, it is a top down theft of wages from the means of production - the workers. Somewhere in the mix is an unfounded belief that their AI platforms will magically be able to do it all.

Graphic handout a teacher gave to students entitled WATER IN THE WORLD. That’s about the only easy thing to explain here as the rest is such a mess this is going to be a challenge to explain. This looks like an attempt at the kind of infographic first popularized by the USA Today newspaper decades ago instead of densely written stories which really took off online via Pinterest (then shared from there to other platforms). There are four parts to this: one giant section followed by three small blocks (presumably each presenting some different piece of information on the topic). The giant section is a world map with countries shaded differently without a key explaining what the different shades signify. There are text labels all over it but they are all misspelled with some letters blurring into each other, disintegrating, or disappearing. The top highlighted header above the map says: SLIGHTLY SIMPLICED (probably meant simplified?) An upper left label says: YEAR 7 STUDENS (likely meant STUDENTS) I think the next two labels indicate what the map is supposed to be showing: HIGH WATER AVAILABITY & LOW WATER AVALBABITY (or, I assume, availability) Now due to all the text errors, weird random graphics of indeterminable items sprinkled all around the map, even if you guessed which shades were high vs low water availability, you can’t trust that what’s indicated is correct because AI notoriously gets basic facts wrong and this thing is loaded with text errors and graphical hallucinations, so I wouldn’t trust that Canada is struggling while India is doing great… especially since it doesn’t specify if this is specific to groundwater (sizes of identified aquifers) or freshwater lakes or reservoirs or all of the above and whether it indicates pollution free sources or not and if it cares whether it is drinking water vs. bathing vs. multi-use… it doesn’t explain anything—not the shading or what the water is for… NOTHING! ALT continues in next image… More text from this map says: WATER AVAILBABITY then RAIN RAIN BARKELS then water conservation methods then FLOW TOILETS then USS and something that looks like a bludgeoned capital B or R followed by a stylized lowercase e and then capital IN then on the next line a squiggle then PLOW??? There are weird text like scribbles on the US, Brazil, China, and Australia—no idea what that’s about. There are water droplets on both sides of the map: one is plain but the other has short lines radiating away from it for some reason. As for the bottom sections of this graphic, I have no clue what they are trying to convey. The first and third one are numbered as 1 & 4 but the middle one has no number. The extremely informative titles from left to right: WATER, (highly distorted) WATER CONSERVATION METHODS, & BISIC ILCOMATIONS (best I can figure is the last one might have been going for BASIC ACCOMODATIONS???) Section 1 WATER shows a plastic commercially sold single use water bottle and the Earth with the word WATER above it. That’s it. No idea what that was trying to impart. The middle, unnumbered WATER CONSERVATION METHODS section is a bar chart with three bars and a silhouette of a human acting as a fourth bar. The vertical (y) axis has scribbled labels that look kind of like upside down numbers or capital letters but they are neither, just some odd scribbles. The horizontal (x) axis labels are attempting to be text but are so distorted that my guesses are they say: Rain Usin, Rovers Flow, Livers (although the r isn’t a complete letter) followed by a smudge, & lefecs toilets. Not that it will help you know a darn thing, but the three bars above those labels get increasingly higher although the human figure bar above the incomprehensible word paired with toilets is shorter than the third bar, so, wow. The last section is briefly described in the next image… As for the bottom sections of this graphic, I have no clue what they are trying to convey. The first and third one are numbered as 1 & 4 but the middle one has no number. The extremely informative titles from left to right:. The last section shows two buckets of water, labeled as WATER and both are full. The first is a slightly smaller bucket with its handle down while the second slightly larger bucket has its handle straight up. There are three clumps of parallel lines in different colors above the smaller bucket (where one might have put some text explaining something, but there is nothing else in this section. And that’s all there is to this monstrosity of an AI-generated handout that was provided to students by what should be a fired/former teacher. I don’t know about you, but I learned ILCOMATIONS! (Insert nonexistent emoji of a chicken firing daggers out of its frustrated eyeballs here.) And I labeled this placeholder image like this: YEAH, this AI-generated handout is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO atrocious that I needed 3 images to include all the ALT needed to do it justice
