I wonder if sites are gonna survive by being "too small to kill," IE stuff like Pillowfort and Dreamwidth that're niche enough that they don't have a crosshairs on them. Maybe artsites like Furaffinity if we're lucky.

I've been online in forums, on artsites and on socials for years and years and I've only been "haxxed" one time, and I know who did it and exactly how they got my password too. Hacking doesn't work like this:

Me too, even when I hardly do fetish artworks myself
I also quit making fill-in memes(when this uses copyrighted pics) for being more of copyright infringement than even fanarts that's drawn from scratch, so this are more unfit to be posted in good artsites

I can adapt to Cara with little problems, both side7 and zdiskuss is more like oldschool deviantart than other artsites I tried, I gave up both Artfol and Inkblot residences(from latter's buggniness and former understaffings), both Artrise and artspacious fails to go under the sun

People that's too close minded to give other artsites(at least outside Artstation and furaffinity) any chance did make deviantart last that long

Having a wider audience helps tremendously. Dedicated artsites are cool for following peers, but its harder to build a sustainable following there – especially if you need to sell stuff to a wider target audience than the artist community

Ime artsites nsfw de-NSFW-ing their branding isn't a sign of good things to come, esp given the countless list of other nsfw-friendly sites that've gone full purge mode on niche kinks lately bc of Mastercard and Visa's bullying.
