Radical organizers and on the ground folks in communities most under fire generally have a far clearer idea of how government actually works than those lecturing us.
The fact our assessments are scathing makes liberals uncomfortable, so they tend to reject it. That does not mean they are not true.

and maybe more pertinent the US is not withdrawing extended deterrence in any of these hypotheticals, so regardless of US conv force posture nothing has fundamentally changed in terms of overmatch assessments (for good or ill)
