Some of the first International Edition boxes from Activision have stickers on the bottom making clear that “Activision Cartridges are not manufactured by Atari Inc.”
Why?
Because the wording printed on the boxes (see 2nd image, from Atarimania) was ambiguous at best, and misleading at worst!

Get Atari 50 if you don't have that. Tempest 4000 is good. AtariMania is okay. NeoSprint is fun multiplayer. For $80 the controllers are worth it if you don't ever use the VCS.

Found this rare instruction manual in a folder today. The dump appears to be missing on Atarimania and I didn't see anything about this on Archive. I hope I have the disk somewhere. #atari8bit
