Great fun tonight, I pulled an atmel 8051 from an old controller PCB and used the internal serial bootloader to reflash it with blinking LED code.
Sadly its the only one of them I have so far from a large pile of the same device. The rest are OTP chips by NXP

Serial controlled dual servo controller.
I'm using CH32 because atmel wants too much for the tiny13 and tiny85 (which this would have to be, needs uart)
Managed to fit it all on a SOIC14 carrier board :]

ArduinoってRenesasと協業してたけどやめちまったのかな・・。ATmelがmicrochipに買収されてから、Arduinoの波乱が始まってる感じある。ATmelとmicrochipの合併は、macromediaとAdobeがくっついたときのような感覚あったな。ライバル同士。その後ArduinoはRenesasと手を組んで、ARM系をローエンドにも搭載するようになった。そしてARM系の王者の一つでもあるQualcommに食われた感じだな・・・。
