My headcanon for Modern AU AuntieButt is that they’ve been together for years but no one in Auntie’s life knows about him simply because she’s never felt the need to tell anybody.

I don't have anything new for OFMD rare ship week but i *will* say there's a little AuntieButt in "first light" (and a little Auntie getting teased about it)
Buttons coughs gently, announcing his presence. "Could send Livvy across," he says. "She can fly faster than any ship can sail. Would be able to tell from above, and the creatures below can relay her message back to us." Zheng regards him with gratitude. "Thank you," she says quietly. "I think we both would appreciate that." Buttons nods, then turns to Auntie and with a curt bow, says, "There are other matters to discuss. I'm gathering information. I will return to you shortly." Zheng waits for him to leave before leaning over to Auntie. "He'll return to you. Shorty." "I /will/ throw you overboard," Auntie replies calmly.
