I'm stunned!
10000 followers in 4 days, took me almost three years on twitter for those kind of numbers!
I'm still slowly but surely following back some but I don't autofollow and need at least pictures and bios to consider following back

I do, however, take note of the people who interact with me regularly who are cool, funny, share my ethics, and when I'm pretty sure they're not going to OOPSANAZI me, I follow back.

I am saying that if you automatically follow back everyone who follows you, you are going to end up providing cover to a lot of bad actors, including spammers, scammers, and bigots, who rely on people who autofollow to make their accounts look legitimate.

As far as I'm concerned, if you autofollow a bigot and don't unfollow them while they keep posting bigotry, you also deserve the block because the bigot is using you for cover. This is why automatically following back is a bad idea.

I used to do NaNoWriMo before they went crazy. I met my wife on Twitter in a nano hashtag chat. I had so much fun I made an account just to do writing things like wordsprints and theme days
