There are a few options, Microsoft's own Power Toys or AutoHotKey. Unfortunately both involve installing more software that runs in the background consuming some RAM and CPU to make it work. Let alone trusting these new things not to be keyloggers or open new vulnerabilities. 🤬

There are a couple of fixes, MS Power Toys or AutoHotKey but they have drawbacks too.

Peak does not have remappable controls. Fields of Mistria does not let you use numpad keys when remapping controls. Many such examples. And for all of them, there is one solution.
