anyway reminder to do this because there's a 50% chance you're missing completely normal posts that the mennonite ai that automods posts flagged something as suggestive when it extremely isn't
if you're new here or returning, please go into your moderation settings and set most of that stuff to "show". stuff like adult/cartoon art is set to hide by default and since it auto-applies tags your art, things like bunny suits can get labeled as suggestive content and hidden by default :/

I have no issue with machines evaluating images in the most basic sense. CSEM/CSAM and other abusive material have image hashes that automods can detect. But the "AI" acronym next to "The Hive" tool worries me.

Which is also why automods are peak trash. I’ve seen entire communities crumble because key posters get banned when automods don’t get simple sarcasm and the whole vibe just crumbles. Good moderation > all.

I will always defend moderation teams (and yes, even the hated automods) from the charge that they can't distinguish a joke. People will always claim they were joking to try and avoid a suspension - you just gotta draw the line somewhere.
