I'm also still laughing at the fact that the mad lads saw the reaction to the first game's infamous Welcome To The Machine autoscroller level in the endgame and were like "let's do two of them in the sequel's endgame".
Finished Ecco 2. I personally think it's a bit disjointed, messy, and lacking in terms of atmosphere, challenge, qnd story, and by the end I found myself feeling that it was actually quite a bit weaker than the first game despite being much more accessible. But was still quite good!

One of the GDQ commentators keeps using the term “autoscroller” wrong and it’s a good lesson in how communities use a word so often that eventually people just pick up what they think it means through context and create new meanings for it.

Folks need to dream based on just one game. MY dream game is an entire game of DKC Tropical Freeze minecart and rocket barrel style levels. 50 levels of a minecart or rocket barrel style autoscroller platformer.
