I once made the mistake of downloading Microsoft Edge on my mac. I uninstalled it a long time ago, but Microsoft AutoUpdate remains, and every day it asks me if I want to update the AutoUpdate application. 😂

Microsoft AutoUpdate, a process that I have repeatedly killed, and also prevented from starting at login, has somehow launched itself to tell me I have to update Microsoft AutoUpdate.

We just released Polypane 28.0.2 with many bugfixes, big performance improvements throughout the app, 25% smaller installer size, new warnings in the outline and meta panels and a fix for macOS autoupdate. 🥳
Except the fix for macOS autoupdate didn't work. 😬 so we also released 28.0.3 to fix that 😎

I really really need to just start asking big asks of Claude. "Oh I don't want to bother making a bunch of notes for all my repos, that would take so long" no dumbass it would take claude ten minutes!! And you can make a routine to autoupdate the notes on commit hash change!!

Microsoft AutoUpdate isn’t installed in /Applications, and I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to get rid of it until now.
