Our developers are amazing. And you may have felt this the past months. In September for OCW2024 we released AutoUpgrade 24.6 with the new patching ability, in October we then released 24.7 improving it significantly and fixing issues based on the first tests, and now in November 2024 AutoUpgrade 24.8 has been released adding MS Windows patching support. Of course, there's more in AutoUpgrade.

I totally forgot to announce the 26.4 version of AutoUpgrade. And now, the new AutoUpgrade version 26.5 is available (plus 26.4) already. The AutoUpgrade Development team did an amazing job in shortening the release cycle. This way, we can deliver quick fixes faster to you. You can use AutoUpgrade to install an Oracle home on a brand-new, empty server. Previously, AutoUpgrade used an existing Oracle home to determine how to create a new Oracle home. Now, you can use config file parameters to instruct AutoUpgrade on installing the new Oracle home. This allows you to use AutoUpgrade to prepare a new server for use with Oracle Database.

To further automate upgrade and patching of Oracle Database, AutoUpgrade now interacts with Oracle Enterprise Manager. Use the new functionality to create blackouts and update target configuration.
