This may be the first colour photograph of an apple. Made by the Autochrome process. Dana Glover was the wife of the photographer Edward Steichen. 1923. Autochrome plates by Lumière bros are covered in microscopic red, green and blue coloured potato starch grains. #autochrome #photography #apples
