I've been waiting for paint to arrive for the ongoing projects, so I decided to pop an #hoscale autorack on the bench and have a go at it. Still work in progress, but the graffiti is pretty much done. Weathering next.

Exactrail produced the Vert-a-pac cars back in the 2010's and they're museum quality without being terribly expensive.
If you want a particular roadname, just make a saved search on eBay for the one you want!

The price: $800 (!!)
That said, it'd be super cool for a US mfg to do an open autorack trainset with nice autos.

unfair that I find intermodal and autorack facilities so interesting, because they're SO HUGE in size that it would be difficult to model onto a layout without looking cartoonishly reduced (and from a operations standpoint a bit boring compared to other rail-served industries that require switching)
