I visited Saint Emilion today, one of the excursions of my Avalon Waterways Bordeaux cruise. Famous for its wines, this medieval village is absolutely gorgeous!

A river cruise from Bordeaux with Avalon Waterways naturally includes lots of excursions to wineries but there’s also time for history, such as, Chateau de la Brede, the birthplace of Montesquieu.
