more info. still dont like the made up avatarism language crap but it seems the art book is being done by someone with no involvement in the movie/series.
I have no clue why it was on that slide or who put it there, and every member of the crew I worked with is 100% against AI. Every aspect of the animation is handcrafted by real artists and I hope that people don’t use this slide as a reason to detract from how much love and labor went into the film.

Kill off the parts of you that you didn’t wholly choose, the parts they did to you… the parts that were a response to the story of pain that you never wanted to write. #Avatarism

It’s part of a voguish obsession with tawdry representational art. Avatarism. “I like this film because it is immersive and 3D.” That’s a fairground ride, not art. No space for the imagination. A basic misunderstanding of art as a collaborative act with the reader / viewer. Leave. Some. Gaps.

The game ran well, very good vibes, the adventure was as weird as expected, and the gang was initially a bit weirded out by the avatarism (you play yourself in a collective dream), but eventually took it in stride and went off to adventure. /

I think that poster was refering to the orientalism of the "avatarism" but others may get wrong impressions

I’d love to revitalize one of these former churches into an Avatarism clubhouse where all kinds of weird people can come and work on crafts, make clothes, cook food and reminisce about the times that people like us were unwelcome in cool buildings like this.

If you want to make your life more into a game than a tragedy, then start building your character away from the things that you did not wholy choose and towards some interesting new things that you love… but that scare you a little bit. Avatarism.net is my idea of a fun way to transmogrify. 🫶🏻🔥
