Bookcover of Axe Marks The Spot by Kayla Grosse. Image shows a woodgrain background with bullseye with a heart in the center and an axe in the bullseye, the edges of the cover are a green plaid pattern. Review: 5 stars. Kayla Grosse continues to provide sexy and inclusive erotica along with a wonderful small-town romance story. This book very much focuses on a Dom/sub agreement, and while I won't pretend to know anything about that particular kink, I will say that this book seemed to do a good job describing it generally and respectfully for a reader to enjoy. I find that has been the case with every Kayla Grosse book I have read. Quick synopsis without spoilers: single mom, Lindsey, is a nurse who feels overwhelmed and exhausted, her friend (and future SIL), Morgan, recognizes her plight and suggests one drunken night that she should seek out a Dom to get her focused and disciplined and maybe a little release of sexual tension. Enter DomInTheWoods, Dane the Logger, a lumbersnack if you will, together they work up an agreement and the story only gets better from there. Thank-you, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Kayla Grosse, for this complimentary copy. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
