I haven't done my #AymericWeek prompts the last 2 months but I for sure want to do it for November and December! I'm excited for more of the husband!

Alright, this week will be that last time I use the #AymericWeek tag for my personal project. I've come up with a new one so as not to get mixed up or confuse folks who are partaking in the new Aymeric event. Cheers!

😊

One month until our first #AymericWeek

Get your entries ready, but don’t fret, we’ll be sharing your entries as we’ll check the tags often.

We also want to clear up that we won’t be hosting an art party (we’re too shy), but you’re welcome to host your own if you’d like.

Good luck and have fun!

Kicking off this month's #AymericWeek! Day 1- Inadequate

Who knew the Aymeric held such doubts in his heart when he first ascended to Lord Commander?

Certainly not anymore, though!

“May it grant you the courage and wisdom needed to see your journey through. And may it grant you strength on and off the battlefield, my son. I know of none in our line more deserving than you.”

The words resonated with him now more than ever. He had but newly been appointed Lord Commander of the Temple Knights in a race that had been a very, very close class. Aymeric’s fist tightened around the grip of Naegling, his sword, as if drawing invisible power from the weapon.

Was he as deserving as his father had claimed not so long ago? Lord Philippe rarely wasted words on false platitudes, and Aymeric had to concede the man must have meant them. Yet how he faltered now! He felt wholly inadequate to yield such beloved heirloom, and much less prepared to lead as Commander.

He shook his head. He knew he was being overly critical of himself. Had he not been ceaselessly working towards this precise moment? How many nights had he stayed awake, training both body and mind? How long had he labored through the intricacies of Ishgardian politics? How dedicated had he been in skillfully dancing to the tune of the Ishgardian ton? All to climb this very ladder that placed him in one of the most powerful positions in Ishgard, save for the Heavens’ Ward. He deserved this.

All for the betterment of his homeland, of course, but at the heart of it, so he could but speak to him. That man. His sire, but not his father.

Aymeric became angry then. Why should he care what that man thought of him, alas? And why the hells did he still have the power to make him feel like an unwanted child even now, at thirty and two years of age?

He sighed deeply, placing his hand over the black, heavy tome; their holiest of books.

“Lend me your strength, Halone. Be my light in the dark. My spear in battle, and my shield in the coming tempests.”

My prompts for this Aymeric Week attempt. I don't know that I'll have a proper tag for it? Maybe #AymericWeek? But I intend to try it every month, so maybe #AymericMarch? Uh, I reserve the right to swap prompts on a whim, lol. They'll be posted on my RP account.

Day 7- Music

"I have always held a soft spot for the pianoforte. I am somewhat skilled at it..."

I HC that noble children are required to learn at least 2 instruments as part of their daily studies. Aymeric chose the piano and the cello. He is very skilled at both.
