The yield of the B61-11 is classified, but it is a converted B61-7 bomb. The yield of the -7 and -11 are usually given as more than 300 kilotons. @nukestrat.bsky.social says the B61-11 was increased to 400 kt. Either way, this is a very powerful nuclear weapon.

So what is Hruby saying here? During her speech at Hudson today she said: "The new B61-12 gravity bombs are fully forward-deploying…”

This almost sounds like official confirmation that deployment of the B61-12 to Europe has begun.

Clarification would be great. @NNSAHruby

It's a tail risk but Iran testing a bomb prompting CENTCOM shaming Trump into hitting Fordow with a B61 or the Israeli doing it themselves
they better pray there are no funny earthquakes in iran in the near future
This is all a giant self-owned mess now. Stemming from original chest thumping-and thin skin. If they just followed CJCS sober first statements, ie it looks good, wait for BDA, we’re not in this goat rope. Half the country now won’t believe anything the IC leadership says. Sigh.

Good!

But US “tactical” nuke (B61-12) with 50kt is not hard rock penetrator. And 400kt B61-11 penetrator is “strategic.”Not real option - radioactive fallout would be intense.
