Photo of reportedly the largest Hindu temple in Texas, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (temple). It is an elaborate, Hindu temple built by hand out of 33,000 pieces of expensive and interconnected Italian marble and limestone pieces that were hand carved in India by more than 3,000 artisans, then shipped in individual pieces to Houston, driven to Stafford, then reassembled painstakingly over the course of 2.5 yrs, piece by interlocking piece without ever using any steel or metal to join the 33,000+ parts! The temple is 73 ft tall, 11500 sq ft in size, and elaborately decorated with carvings. The edifice has 3 tall central towers that tower over lots of mini cupolas. Two additional turrets or towers stand at the far corners of the front edifice. Rows of steps lead to the interior. In the photo, two people stand there and in front of them is a long reflective pool. The sky is electric blue but streaked with thick white clouds.

Paris, Aug 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) France is set to get its first major Hindu temple, with the BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in the Parisian district of Bussy-Saint-Georges scheduled to be inaugurated in September. The historic opening will be marked by a 13-day ‘Festival of Culture’ from September 2 to 14, 2026. The inauguration and celebrations will be blessed by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj and are expected to bring together devotees and well-wishers from across the world. BAPS said the ‘Festival of Culture’, a 13-day celebration marking the opening of the temple, was launched globally during 'satsang' assemblies held around the world in March and April.
