Also, watch out around Venezuela and the Caribbean for US military flights with callsign BAT91 or other numbers after BAT.

Theyre most likely used as intel gathering for strikes.

Oh yes, I am very aware! I looked at the flight data during the two near-midairs earlier this month and wasn’t able to determine anything.

There are regular USM surveillance planes that go dark in the area (BAT91/92 out of Panama, RAWHYD51/52 out San Juan), but those are too small in these cases.
