There’s an entire ecosystem of 3D printed cases for this thing but you have to use PETG because otherwise they’d get so hot they’d melt. It’s a crypto mining card and 2/3rds of a PS5, but you gotta get creative with airflow because it is meant to be server rack cooled.

I didn't just write about the Steam Machine as an object, it is also an R&D project that benefits everyone. This includes PCs builders, people turning crypto mining cards into gaming PCs, and third party vendors. It is doing work for the hardware that comes after. These are all "Steam Machines".

The BC250 is actually kinda similar in how it channels air through its cooler because it’s meant to be in a server layout.

Minus the few times we got sent something (the Steam machine, a few controllers) everything I write about is out of my own pocket. I see it as an investment in my writing and my workplace. The BC250 is going to a friend when I’m done tweaking it.

Might spend some time today finishing my BC250 build. I think I had a weird power supply airflow issue. Might try CachyOS this time around just to mix things up on my third Linux box.
