It's been a good Autumn for Redwing & Fieldfare passage & with a very good crop of berries & apples on offer a lot will stay on site hopefully joined soon by some Waxwing 🤞On other taxon this Doe Roe Deer spotted me long before I saw her by a favourite apple tree #BCPBirding #UKBirding #Patchbirding

The Starling roost count @BCPBirding is growing each day it seems with a rough estimate of 6000 this evening dropping into the reeds in 7 separate groups of various sizes all performing a murmuration, last group dropped @ 17.37 5 mins after the first group. #UKBirding #Patchbirding #Starlingroost

I was happy to see these Little Grebe fledglings this morning. After the nest was lost to fire earlier in the year, I've heard them only since. They have done a good job hiding them in the reeds as they look a little older than I expected on the first sighting! #Patchbirding #BCPBirding #UKBirding

2000+Starling roosted @ Bickershaw CP today & 400+ Jackdaws also 1 Great White Egret flew over South to roost @ Pennington Flash otherwise quiet. Not mid Feb but firebugs have been busy already with an area of reed charred. #UkBirding #BCPBirding #Patchbirding

This Treecreeper @ #BCPBirding caught my attention 4 a while y'day watching it's agility moving around the tree trunk picking insects etc out of the Moss. Wish I was as agile 🤣
