Realizing it's been a little less than two years since tmp.0ut got asked to take over Phrack. On top of two issues of Phrack, I also worked on tmp.0ut 3 + 4, ran BGGP 4 + 5, got married, did a few talks, and won a live hacking event. BGGP6 is gonna rule, then I chill a bit hehe.

This weekend I'm thinking about chilling in the @binary.golf discord voice chat and working on some ideas for #BGGP6 if anyone else wants to play with weirdo files or just hang.

#BGGP6 is off to a great start! We got 4 entries in the first 24 hours (as many entries as all of BGGP1!).

In the lead so far by total score is mauke, who made a 55 byte 4-way polyglot that is also a palindrome (pictured).

The first known RDOFF exectuable file which runs in nasm's deprecated rdx loader was demonstrated by me last year for BGGP6.

The second known RDOFF binary is a virus that targets the first file (and any other RDOFF). It will be published in the forthcoming @tmpout.sh Volume 5.

Today I got RDOFF (.rdf) files working in nasm 2.15. I wrote my own lib bc nasm didn't generate properly. Also patched the 32-bit loader in `rdx` with mmap tricks (shoutout ixi). An executable RDOFF has likely never run on a 64 bit system before today. Writeup soon! #BGGP6

Doing this again! This time I am looking into resurrecting an old object file format using scapy, and will probably look at some more entries for #BGGP6 . If you're working on any cool file stuff or just want to chat, come thru!
