Just to be clear, not knocking BMZ2. I actually played the BMZ series and loved them, I just wish DLC for a whole other game wasn't the context needed to understand finer points of iX2—whose DLC adds up to the base game's price—worst part is, there's STILL plot holes after BMZ2's Copen DLC, lmao

Seems most of iX2 is being swept under the rug and I'm glad since the "plot" was a mess and BMZ2 being required context was weird. I do value iX2 for opening the doors to this concept with The Creator and MOTHER though, since our iX encountering others and still coming out on top is metal as hell.

I didn't love BMZ3 as much as I loved BMZ2 (or probably even BMZ1) but the story is good enough that this silly-ass line can loop around from feeling "why is Kane saying this" to "damn thats pretty hype, man"

when it's SUCH a good culmination of the ENTIRE series, in many ways that shocked me too. But yes, although I do miss a lot of things from BMZ2 and think that that game is much more "consistent", this game is still absolutely excellent. I can't get better than this because there is no fourth game-

great despite there still being some dead weight. On that note, and something I forgot to mention when talking about BMZ2, the Gaia System is an excellent addition to the series and I love how it spruces things up with boss encounters and having to play around that. Here, they decided to make-

Great finale to the trilogy, finishing the character arcs of both Jason and Eve. Even characters introduced in the 2nd game were involved in this one, like this one was bringing the first 2 games together. I think this one is second to BMZ2 as a game.
