BLUE GHOST is demonstrating a new transmission mode on S-band. ~30KHz wide BPSK type signal. BGM1 is near apogee ~325000km away just outside the Moon's hillsphere really.

New blog post: Decoding IM-1. A short analysis of some telemetry recordings of Odysseus done by AMSAT-DL, including GNU Radio decoders for the telemetry signal, which is convolutionally encoding 2.5 kbaud either PCM/PSK/PM or suppressed-carrier BPSK.

Viewdata worked down to 1200 Baud (1200/75) and downloaded roughly a page (40x25=1000 bytes) every few seconds. The channel raster for LW is 9kHz, so with about 8k used and a decent channel filter I reckon you could get about 6.6kbaud with BPSK or FSK. With QPSK/4FSK/4PSK you can double that.

A while back I monitored the ELEKTRO-L 2 carrier 16 hours assuming its power would tell me when image transmission signal is best. Today I followed that recipe and received my first "images" of the season, far from perfect. Also noted in between images a low rate TM signal (BPSK ?)

FBB was used a lot for BBS together with BPQ Node. Guess the most that are running Packet Radio now also use those. Got a "Ad Hoc" system running here with UZ7HO soundmodem. Speeds are standard 300 and 1200 Baud, 600 Bd BPSK en 2400 Bd QPSK. Run this in USB on 2 meter.

Yeah, that's it. The different shapes are fairly accurate pictures of the spectrum use of different modulation schemes (like BPSK or BOC in the picture). The 'straight up' picture is in-phase, the 'lying down' shadow is the quadrature signal (a slightly shifted signal that is easy to separatel

I am regularly on 144.925 when conditions are good. I usually only see stations from Friesland and Flevoland. PD4R-12 from Warnsveld is also there 24/7. He is also 24/7 on 144.775 USB in 300bd@1000, 1k2Bd@1700, 600 Bd BPSK and 2400bd BPSK @2000. When I am there I also use that.
