Instead of "the" Congo we should just refer to it as DR Congo when talking about Kinshasa Congo 🇨🇩 and Republic of Congo when talking about Brazzaville Congo 🇨🇬

Reminder that putting "the" in front of Congo, Senegal, Gambia and Sudan is a colonial practice. They did it to portray them as territory rather than actual and independent nations, it's an imperial & colonial language and makes these countries sound like "the jungle" rather than sovereign nations.
