Hyderabad, March 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy and two other accused were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days in the Moinabad farmhouse drugs case. Police produced Rohit Reddy, his brother Ritesh Reddy and Delhi-based businessman Namith Sharma before a magistrate at Upperpally late on Sunday night. After hearing arguments from both sides, the magistrate remanded the accused to judicial custody.

Hyderabad, Feb 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Wednesday dismissed the petition for the disqualification of BRS MLA Sanjay Kumar, who had allegedly switched loyalties to the ruling Congress party. The Speaker, who had reserved the orders on the petition filed by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Jagadish Reddy last year, pronounced the same on Wednesday. The Speaker ruled that as the petitioner failed to provide evidence that Sanjay Kumar, who represents Jagtial constituency, defected to the Congress party, the Anti-Defection Act could not be applied in the case.

Chandrasekhar Rao broke down while paying his last respects to party MLA Maganti Gopinath, who passed away on Sunday. KCR, as Chandrasekhar Rao is popularly known, was visibly moved while paying homage to Gopinath at the latter’s residence. Gopinath, the BRS MLA from Jubilee Hills constituency, died early Sunday, three days after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.

Airport police detained him in connection with an accident case involving his son. A lookout notice for the former MLA was issued in February last year. However, Kaushik Reddy informed the police that he had to appear before a court in Karimnagar in connection with another case and said he would appear before police on January 17.

Kaushik Reddy was produced before a magistrate at his residence in Nagole late on Thursday night. The magistrate imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 and asked the accused to arrange two sureties.
