A study reveals reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards causes shortcut amplification in video reasoning, favoring text-prior answers. Bifocal Self-distillation Policy Optimization (BSPO) mitigates this, enhancing reasoning-sensitivity. https://arxiv.org/abs/2610.37211

Reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) can amplify shortcuts in video tasks, risking visual grounding. The Bifocal Self-distillation Policy Optimization (BSPO) framework keeps updates reasoning-sensitive and visually anchored, boosting performance. https://arxiv.org/abs/2610.37211

Remakes like this are antithetical to games as a form of art. I wrote a big thing about it here that goes into way more detail.
But basically the art style isn't the problem the remake itself is.

I feel like all the complaints about the art style of ocarina are only kind of scratching the surface of the problem the game (and all remakes of its ilk) have. And that's that their very existence is kind of antithetical to the concept of video games as an art form.

sure, i could've said "effectively a lack of art direction". an art director certainly did the act of directing to the art, but i'm intentionally questioning the creative value it's adding to the end result when there appears to be no identity bsky.app/profile/bspo...
I hate that this has become a complaint cause there's no such thing as no art direction. There is art direction you don't like. But it's still a direction. Like it's not even thoughtless or lazy art direction. It's just safe.
way too many people are blaming unreal engine for every new video game looking the same when they should be blaming lack of art direction. not even strictly a money issue, indies can make radically different looking things in UE cheaply, but _especially_ big moneyed AAA failing to art direct is wild

下垂体前葉から副腎にはACTHという信号が出ているのですが、それを近傍を刺激することでダイレクトに刺激しているのかもしれませんね。 www.shibusawa3387.net/explain/bspo...
