I used to love a wee Brandy and Babycham with my Mum and Gran about 30 years ago. 🥰

I didn't know that was a thing! Might give that a go. Do they still sell babycham??

Apart from the Babycham, it's the only thing I fancy on there.

Straw poll suggests pretty commonplace and given to very small children, sometimes because the cartoon confused the parents, sometimes because giving alcohol to small children was moderately acceptable in the 70s. Babycham as a Christmas treat for kids remembered by more than one.
Just running some historical research alongside the caption contest- how many other small children of the 70s were plied with babycham because the cartoon I the adverts confused their parents into thinking it was a children’s drink?

So, you're only drinking those packs of Babycham for 'research purposes' ?

Babycham is perry; and perry, in general, has been rebounded these days as pear cider.

I was in my teens when I found out Babycham was only Perry. I thought it was Champagne in a baby bottle. It's the first thing I ever got tipsy on one Christmas when I was about 8.

I always got the last bit of my mum’s Babycham, although she knew full well it was an adult drink.

The vicar once asked me what my favourite drink was, expecting me to reply Coke, or Fanta. He was a bit nonplussed by a 6 year old saying Babycham.

My first alcohol aged 11 years was babycham because the cartoon fawn in the adverts for it led my parents to believe it was a children’s drink 🥴

I remember my mum giving me Babycham to get me to sleep when she was having friends round once. Different times!

Didn't have Babycham, but did have Pomagne.

I was a child of the 70s. I was occasionally given alcohol, but never, to my knowledge, Babycham.
