Morning delivery

Another from my August shooting that I couldn't get to till today. My favorite cafe. Sometimes hard to work with the strong backlight during morning hours.

Color photograph: Silhouette image of a person walking into a cafe carrying boxes through the front door, with strong backlight compared to the lighting inside the cafe.

Sometimes the sun hits things just right, light this polar bear walking across a frozen lake. #mammals
The edges of a polar bear's fur glows in the backlight as it walks across a frozen lake in the bright sun. The different textures of ice light up like bands of colour.

New angles for mirror videos tonight. This cut-out dress caught the backlight perfectly. What would you film?

Inspired by @ricercamis.bsky.social 's halloween ghoap! I wanted to try doing the sheer sheet thing in blender and it was a lot of fun messing with shaders and lighting to make it work 👻

HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEN!

Ghost draped in a sheer sheet like a traditional ghost costume. The backlight illuminates his silhouette, revealing he is fully torqued.

The peach glass glow reads so soft I'd never guess it's a backlight trick.

Getting the backlight work for the the bat eyes was very fun. I need to start seeing hoe to do more of those old school cel animation techniques.

i will say though that i do like bringing back the glowing apple logo even if it's significantly less cool when it isn't coming from the actual display backlight

hjdffdjhsk my main monitor is showing signs of failing

The entire backlight is flickering softly at the borders with no rhyme or reason

I don't have the funds to change my monitor if it goes puft 🫠

Beautiful use of backlight and movement here. The play between shadow and silhouette gives the frame a lovely, painterly mood.

I use my e-reader with external lighting only, no backlight, so it does make a huge difference. But I am quite sensitive to light so maybe that's why ^^
