For a company whose core product is intelligence, the openai web crawler bots are incredibly stupid. here it is looking for events in the 2800's. every second. its been doing this for days

this is badbot behaviour (and not the first time) so has earned a block at the firewall

Not a stakeholder, so grain of salt; I read the first post and thought “this needs to happen only when the bot tagged, and it needs a disclaimer in the post AND the alt text.”

I’d also say there needs to be a !BadBot command people can reply with, so the bot can self-delete bad alt text.
