A high-altitude balloon experiment in a snowy landscape, preparing to study the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. The image overlays a representation of CMB temperature fluctuations, highlighting the quest to understand the universe's early moments and geometry. This race to understand the universe's origins involves ground-based experiments like this one, pushing the boundaries of cosmological knowledge.

A high-altitude balloon experiment, possibly the BOOMERANG mission, is shown being prepared for launch in a snowy landscape. The background features a stylized representation of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation, hinting at the experiment's goal of measuring the CMB to determine the universe's geometry and composition. The image illustrates the scientific race to understand the universe's early moments through increasingly precise CMB measurements.
