My youngest son (almost 38) has a #BambuPrinter & loves to make things with it. He knows my love of #Stargate, #DarkMatter, etc.
So even though I tell the kids I don't need "stuff" for Christmas but I do have a to-do list they can help with, he decided to gift me anyway.

Now i got it. This is the filament sensor. The gears on the extruder would mesh together and metal shavings would get stuck to the magnet in here creating just enough extra friction to hang up the filament and makes it look like your hot end is clogging. #bambu #bambuprinter.

This year… I am thankful for NON-BLOODSUCKING CORPORATIONS, ya know, companies that actually give a shit about the humans they employ. I’m thankful for my #bambuprinter. This little piece of tech has brought me significant joy in a time of utter disgust… for the way we live as humans currently.

This year… I am thankful for NON-BLOODSUCKING CORPORATIONS, ya know, companies that actually give a shit about the humans they employ. I’m thankful for my #bambuprinter. This little piece of tech has brought me significant joy in a time of utter disgust… for the way we live as humans currently.
I printed a hex snowflake tool in black and it came out almost perfect, then two more in yellow which got pretty messed up.
Luckily, they will still work for my purposes, but I will have to investigate so next time I can do it better.
