In 1966, LBJ signed Medicare and Medicaid law. Besides ensuring our elderly, poor and disabled got healthcare, it also desegregated hospitals in this country of ours. Read that again and think about that. Then share. A society that makes healthcare a market-based commodity is morally bankrupt.

There is no where in the world you can pay 1.6% of your income and get free healthcare. In Uruguay, the rate is 7.5%. That’s in South America by the way. DSA would bankrupt Medicare in no time. Elderly and disabled people are pretty much uninsurable. They can’t get private healthcare.
