Luckily the stuff I bought from AliExpress was cosmetic/hardware. Only thing wired in is the aux lights, so if I have any electric issues I will know where to look. More important stuff, I tend to by branded (such as the Barkbusters). I bought the V-Strom for reliability, don't wanna lose that!

All the parts are bought for this round of bike upgrades. Barkbusters, headlight grille, aux lights, skid plate, soft panniers, doubletake style mirrors and side-stand foot extender. Oh, and stickers :D

Great bike. Mine was brilliant. Did everything, cost nothing. I armoured it up with barkbusters, a wide rear rack and a crankcase protector (stops the foot controls from putting holes in the cases in minor drops). Also put a set of VStrom mirrors on it so I could see more than my elbows.

Installed barkbusters on the bike. If only i had these *before* i went down (totally didnt say "i cant go off roading, i dont have barkbusters" before the ride where i went off road and took a spill)

BarkBusters protected the clutch lever & handlebars. It did move down a little but didn’t bend, so that’s easily fixed. The scratches can be buffed out with some fine sandpaper and a can of black spray paint. It all just adds some patina to the bike 😀

Been a little bit stupid and dropped my #Transalp as I was parking in a spot on a steep slope.
Luckily the damage is purely cosmetic and was taken by the BarkBusters and the engine crash bars, which is exactly why they’re on the bike.
The bike itself doesn’t have a scratch on it. Me neither 😀

Rode just over 300km yesterday (mostly highway). Panniers were perfect. Barkbusters were great moving air away from my hands. The weather was spectacular. Long day (cos I had business to do), but a really good day. #Bikers #adventuremotorcycles

On my Ural I have hippo hands that are awesome and do a great job. On my BMW I have heated grips and big wind deflectors/barkbusters that help my gloves keep up.
