After extensive public comment and council debate over traffic, fencing and phasing, the Basalt Town Council approved Ordinance 18 on first reading (4–3) for a mixed‑use development at 555 Midland Avenue; the application includes 64% deed‑restricted housing, 42 storage units and developer commitments for roadway improvements up to $175,000 (Few Lane) and $180,000 (Cody Lane).
