After Basslink debacle and the exposure of manipulated business case, Hydro people responsible feared a Royal Commission. Many left. What a pity we didn’t have a RC then. Perhaps it’s time to have one into both Basslink and Marinus.

Jeremy Rockliff said power bills would go down with Marinus. Now he’s saying he will subsidise big end of town and consumers to make sure bills go down. But, the funding for those subsidies relies on $200-400million profit from selling energy to mainland. What, if like Basslink, there is no profit?

All talk of regional jobs from windfarm construction at Robbins Is is just that, talk. Construction uses FIFO. There will be no economic benefit to Tas. Instead every electricity consumer will pay higher power bills because of the cost of Marinus Link and NW Transmission line on top of Basslink.

I have an OG Infinity Basslink in my i3 and it doesn't have the mounting legs, but I didn't want to go outside and measure the dimensions of mine. Fortunately one person is selling a single leg on eBay and has a tape measure in the picture. I can work with this.

It frustrates me that Aurora can hold the Boyer mill to ransom when the only service they provide is as a middleman that reads the meter.
All because Basslink made Tas part of the NEM and Hydro can't generate and retail to Boyer.

The con job in Basslink business case was the inclusion of gas as source of excess capacity for export. We were going to import gas, convert it to energy and sell it to mainland for mega profit… didn’t happen. Who injected gas into Basslink business case? Keen to have the individuals give evidence.
