So the new interim leader of the BCNDP is the former education minister who helped downplay COVID in schools back before kids could be vaxxed? I'm not sure this party will ever win me back...

Same, I dread seeing the results of this over the long term. All on the BCNDP and their failure to follow science

I’m talking about small-l liberals, which includes the BCNDP

How #BCNDP health minister Adrian Dix, AG David Eby, & John Hogan set up “decriminalization” to fail by never doing actual decriminalization, but a policy pilot that:

Prioritized police

Ignored experts

Setup to fail people with SUD & public

Mission accomplished

Did you read my skeet?
You know that liberals in America are against mining in National Parks, yet here Liberals spend their time scolding anyone critical of their party.
When the BCNDP acted like this the left called them out too, it’s not sports.

#Democrats much like #BCNDP willing to stab each other in the back instead of doing the right thing of defeating the evil GOP/BCConservatives. You never can really trust either will do the smart thing. When right thing fails theyll blame everything but themselves #uspoli #cdnpoli #bcpoli

I don't know how many times I tried to explain this to people during the last provincial election. Unfortunately, conservatives don't seem to be able to understand complex issues, that's why they fall for simple explanations.
The #bcNDP could have used a communication campaign like this.
It may sound reasonable, however, they are not the same thing.

I don't think the bcndp were nice neighbours as much as you think they were.

Not saying they were 100% malicious and the cons will be more malicious then the bcndp

They did screw up so often.

They helped delegitimize harm reduction by half-assing Yaletown OPS & they lost a seat for that.

Absolutely

Too much BCNDP virtue signalling and two little actual virtuous action #bcpoli

BC conservatives do more deliberate harm than bcndp do.

Here’s one example on the BCNDP deliberately harming drug users by sabotaging a pilot study on an important topic #bcpoli

a reminder today that drug "decriminalization" never happened – the BC government slapped the word on a policy pilot that was set up to fail the general public

The election results are a damning indictment of the reactionary record of the nine year-old, trade union-supported #BCNDP government and a product of growing alienation from, and anger with, the entire political establishment.

Good point

how many young voters did the fossil fuel funded party #BCNDP lose with their hundreds of million dollars of corporate welfare for foreign LNG companies to help give us more BCheatdome deaths, more BCwildfires more BCfloods and BCdroughts?

The liberals/centrists in the BCNDP need to be kept out of the leadership and replaced by people true to what the NDP is supposed to stand for.
October 27, 2026 at 9:36 PM
I think the BCNDP needs a much more substantial reset. That means looking beyond the existing caucus for a leader in the long term

David Eby and the BCNDP chalk up another L for the Kamala Gambit
October 25, 2026 at 4:30 PM
The simplest explanation is often an oversimplification. No mention of the caucus revolt over Indigenous Rights? No mention of Eby's climate crimes, the @bcclimateemergency.bsky.social open letter, and @avilewis.ca's landslide victory?🤦
#bcpoli #bcndp
The simplest explanation for the early election seemed to be that David Eby saw his chance to carve out a larger majority against a weakened opposition, and took it — consequences be damned. Stewart Prest writes.

because the BCNDP didn't take governance seriously and called a snap election without even fielding a full slate, had no message to energize voters, and barely ran a campaign

The BC NDP will need to take an objective look at what happened with the election loss and try to understand why some 250,000 fewer people voted for its candidates than did two years ago, one party insider said.
