Is it time for another one of my Californian rants about how batshit insane it is that so much of the East Coast’s beaches are heavily controlled + privatized for the benefit of loathsome rich coastal property owners?
one of the things that made me feel the most insane about being in NYC was the signs in Coney Island stating when you were legally allowed to swim in the sea - land of the free but apparently the state can tell you when to use the oceans god gave you??? what?????
