In 1806, Hortense de Beauharnais became the first Queen of Holland, when her husband Louis Napoleon took the throne. Hortense was charming, musically talented and closely involved with the people. This did not sit well with her husband.

Ce n'est pas #Joséphine de Beauharnais mais #Joséphine de Beauxyeux. Elle n'a pas des bijoux avec des saphirs ou avec des émeraudes mais elle a deux beaux jais comme yeux où on peut se perdre dans leur noir intense.
