Hellebores are flowering on our project in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

All the leaves were chopped back in early December to allow the flowers to stand out and also reduce the risk of disease.

Had a close encounter with this spectacular beauty in Newbury earlier… thinking it’s a mayfly? Many of them fluttering around by the canal.

Another day, another Year group, and another environmental project. Today, Year 4 have created this large seahorse display. The first kids to tackle this spent the entire time just exploring the structure.

The children’s seahorse sculpture began with just an exercise in using ‘strips’ of cardboard to build up the outline and internal structure. The finished seahorse has been covered with a layer of brightly coloured tissue paper and then painted.
