In ~910, Tomislav became Duke of Croatia. The Byzantines, Franks, the Bulgarian Empire and Magyars all pressed the duchy. By 925 Tomislav was recognised as King of the Croats.

The cities of Adanse, Bono-Manso, & Begho were founded by Akan people 900–1000CE on early medieval trade routes

OK Global Southern Bluesky, let's go: share your most beloved non-Anglophone pop culture franchises. We want to know about the Nepali romance novels, the Khmer superhero comics, the Guatemalan detective movies, the Malawian ghost hunter cartoons. Or whatever's out there. Please boost!

Bono-Manso and Begho were important early medieval towns, linking the trans-Saharan trade routes to networks further south.

Bono-Manso and Begho traded gold, kola nuts, salt, and leather for luxury goods, and finds of cowrie shells show they were linked to Indian Ocean trade routes.
