Yesterday, a friend since we were kids working at Bekonscot Model Village arranged for me to join him at work: in the cab of 50008 “Thunderer” across southern England. Has anyone been to Bekonscot Model Village at all?
I've been wanting to visit it but am never in that part of the country whenever I visit England. I very fascinated by their gauge 1 model railway that they have running. Running on LGB G Scale tracks and customised point turnouts, it is something.

I wonder if this medley of building styles was considered charming or representative of urban sprawl? Bekonscot is tucked away in Beaconsfield New Town, which lies off the A40 - continuation of the West Way.
