This is my winter bellpull. I think the birds on it are a finch, chickadee, jay, and cardinal?

This weekend's little joblet: splicing, whipping and braiding a new pull on my aunt's doorbell.

I could find no bellpull hangers that I liked online (how dare they not have the 19th century hardware that I want) so I made some. I had to chop down branches of the neighbor's shitty weed tree hanging over my fence, so two birds. I doubt the "strings" will hold once dry, but 🤞 #crafts #gardening

BTW, the metal pipe contained one thin copper wire which was a bellpull. Even a ‘modest’ three story house from the late 1800s had a servant or two
