Random #BellTent tip (may apply to other tents too): if your door is pulling too tight, check this peg! It's natural to put them in pointing towards centre, but you get a better result if first pegs (& guys) are angled towards BACK of #tent. I always forget until I'm struggling with the door later 🙄

Our #BellTent is spread out (sort of) in the summerhouse to dry - even crumpled like this it's surprisingly effective thanks to the 'greenhouse' effect on a warm day. Considering the weather forecast, however, it looks like it'll be a few days before we can lay it out on the drive to pack it up! 🏕️💚

And finally, our solar string-lights, which come on when it gets dark. They look fun and help our tent stand out in a busy site, but also it's really handy to have a bit of light in the tent when we're round the campfire and want to dive inside and get something. 🏕️🔥

Our pole hooks are essential! Here we always hang a lantern, a little mirror, and a head torch. Hats, towels and other things hang here too when necessary!

Under the bed, two baskets: one (right) is my personal bits - moisturisers, cosmetics, hairbrush, bracelets, book etc. - and the other (right) is games, wildlife books, binoculars, chargers... Other bits too as you can see - and there's room under here to slide our folding chairs at night.

Under the bed: some pyjamas and a hat, a leather handbag, a box of tissues on top of a book and a notebook, a huge pencil case, and finally, a basket holding cosmetics bottles and tubes, spare glasses, deodorant and a hairbrush. #belltent #camping

On the LH side, front to back: things waiting to be washed (in the bucket), thrown away (out of sight) or recycled; our woodpile (under a second low table but that's outside at the time of this pic); shoes; and clothes in stacks which start tidy & get gradually more jumbled as the trip progresses! 😂

On the RH side: our kitchen! The zipup bag to the left has lots of pockets and keeps virtually all cooking/eating essentials organised, plus torches and other bits - it stays 90% packed year round. Drinks and most-grabbed items stay out on the folding table. Trangia has always been our stove choice.
A low table with a tasselled gold/brown tablecloth, in a belltent, bears a large water carrier with tap, a filter jug (I've had too many distasteful water experiences not to bring it) and lots of food/drink items (coffee tin, tea bags, bottle of wine, butter dish, cups, apples). There's a dish on the floor under the tap to catch drips! To left of the table is a navy blue rectangular bag with food bags, plates and cooking utensils protruding. To the right of the table sits a trangia (stove) with a steel kettle in the top, and a red fuel bottle. Often our coolbox will sit on the far right, but it's out in a cooler spot. And often there will be food stashed under the table or in a box beside it. #belltent #camping

Sleeping bags are for backpackers! There's plenty of room in the car so we bring our bedding from home. We use a foldout double bed (Outwell Posadas) with a single wool duvet on top for warmth. My side I use a self-inflating mattress too, but Husband says he's "not that old" yet! 😂 It's very comfy 😊
A double bed fills the back half of a bell tent, behind the centre pole. It's completely covered in grey bedding with a squirly design. A folded blanket lies over it at one end - we didn't need the blanket this week! 🥵 There's a sheepskin on the floor in front - that sometimes makes it into the bed too when it's cold, other times I just like to sit on it. #belltent #camping

One of the great things about a bell tent (and there are lots) is the way you can open it right up on hot days. 😍🥵 #belltent #camping
